How do I adjust the font and color of text for checkbox / radio button?

I must not be understanding something. When I click on the checkbox or radio button properties panel gives me know options for font or color. But somehow randomly when I changed the text for said element it will change to a font and color and size of something else on the page. I been trying to figure out if it takes it from something I clicked earlier or I don't know. It is driving me crazy. Maybe it takes the font properties of the element below it I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated
thank you

Actually after trying different things it seems like it takes the font and color of the last text I had highlighted. Does this seem right?

Actually no, Today that trick does not seem to work. Is this a quirk of the program????
Can someone who knows please answer how checkbox and radio button formats work!
This is really aggravating! I'm just going to leave it blank and put a text component next to it.
Am I doing something wrong or is the program quirky?

Having same issue. I add a check box or radio button, it starts out in the standard comic sans with black text but the minute I change the text it flips to a smaller font size with red text that, unfortunately, indicates an editable field on my wireframe and these controls are not going to be editable. Help
