How can I set preferences for check box and radial buttons?

They now (after the update) always show up as deselected and this is proving very frustrating as every time I add a box I have to go and change the properties.

    I was not able to recreate this issue. Can you please provide me some more info or a screen shot?

The image must be a GIF, JPEG, or PNG that is smaller than 1MB.
