is it possible to link a hotspot to a overlay png ?

mocking up a app, but with png's only, i want to illustrate a overlay infobox(png) over a existing background png. with a close button.

Can somebody help me here please ?

    Crete a PNG where the area surrounding the overlay infobox has a transparency of 50% and import it to iPlotz.
